Victor Perton on Victor Perton

A graduate of Oberlin College,Victor Perton never intended to be a writer. While having a real affinity for short stories, great narrative, and tall tales, she started out doing layout and graphic design. In 2006, she got the chance to pen an article about design and it was all words, sentences and ink from there.

My work centres on  "The Infectiously Optimistic Leader" and "infectious optimism" which brings together the research findings of The Australian Leadership Project , my research for the books "Optimism: The How and Why"  and “The Case for Optimism: The Optimists’ Voices”   and asking people "What makes you optimistic?"

I do this through inspiring keynote speeches, leading retreats, productive roundtables, meditation and one-to-one coaching.

My underpinning beliefs are “The leader looks like the person in your mirror” & “All good leadership is optimistic.”

I founded The Australian Leadership Project with the mission to "celebrate, understand and improve Australian leadership."

I wrote “The Case for Optimism: The Optimists’ Voices” to give voice to the yearning for a positive approach to leadership and life.  My follow up book "Optimism: The How and Why" answered requests for more of "The How" of optimism.
